    12626 Database Analyst (Initially onsite, remote option) - Tallahassee, FL

    Start Date : ASAP

    Type: Temporary Project
    Estimated Duration :12 months with possible extensions

    Work Setting: Remote work for this position is contemplated but must be available for initial on-site setup and regular meetings at the office in Tallahassee, Florida

    Required:


    • Experience with Oracle Database Server (4+ years)
    • Experience as Oracle database administrator, including data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.(4+ years)
    • Experience with MS SQL products, inclusive of MS SQL years)
    • Experience as MS SQL database administrator, including data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.(7+ years)
    • Experience with SQL programming, inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.(7+ years)
    • Experience with SQL relational databases, OLTP and DSS, in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments.(7+ years)
    • Experience with configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects. (3+ years)
    • Experience with database design tools. (5+ years)
    • Configuration management of SSRS reports and associated database objects. (5+ years)
    • Experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.(5+ years)
    Preferred:


    • Take an active role in the agency's information technology monitoring and reporting activities.
    • Provide technical documentation of all FWC database infrastructure as needed.
    • Comply with and enforce all agency policies, procedures, and security policies.
    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


    • Provide Oracle and MS SQL database administration, including data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.
    • SQL programming skills including stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.
    • Configuration and change management for SQL database objects and SSRS reports.
    • Analytical services to implement user-defined requirements and identify operational efficiencies.
    • Facilitate system requirements collection and user acceptance testing (UAT) with business program staff.
    • Maintenance and support by applying updates/upgrades to database infrastructure environments.
    • Technical training and knowledge transfer to Office of Information Technology Support Staff related to FWC database systems.
