- Responsible for creating relationships with families during pregnancy and the post-partum period.
- Provides education outreach and works to ensure that pregnant patients have access to wellness services and receive on going care and follow up.
- Provides emotional support during acute care admissions.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Successful completion of Doula training from MDHHS-approved qualified doula training program or organization.
- One year of Doula experience with patient references available.
- Ability to travel within 15-20 minutes of the hospital.
- Basic computer and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster connections to related resources/people within the community.
- Doula certification.
- Valid driver's license.
