Staff Accountant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks including financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide support as needed.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with financial reporting and analysis is a plus.
Familiarity with US GAAP and financial regulations.
High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
