Mountain Pacific Construction ("MPC") is a Park City, UT - based general contractor with a pipeline of upcoming
projects ranging from approximate $1 million to $100 million. MPC is a small group of well qualified individuals
working as a team to do extraordinary projects, primarily in the hospitality and mixed-use and multi-family sectors.

Responsibilities
Commercial Construction Project Engineer Responsibilities

The Project Engineer is responsible for quality control, schedule, safety, shop drawings/submittals, punch list documentation, RFI's, and ASI coordination for the project.

The Project Engineer interacts directly with architects, engineers, owner's subcontractors, and inspectors. The candidate must be a self-starter and knowledgeable about construction coordination, with significant attention to detail. This person will report directly to the Project Manager.
The commercial construction Project Engineer will be primarily responsible for:
Reviewing, updating, and taking ownership of project schedule, budgeting, and quality control for the project.

Managing RFI's, submittals, shop drawings and meeting minutes while understanding the construction process and lead times to keep the project on schedule.

Communicating with subcontractors and consultants to post RFI's and ASI's to drawings.
Helping with the punch-list, commissioning, and closeout process.
Assisting with contracts and purchase orders.
Assisting with job change orders and overall budget from start to finish.
Help the job site superintendent in the field as needed.

Qualifications

Successful Candidate should possess the following:

The commercial construction Project Engineer must have at least 2-3 years of experience, preferably with medium to large scale projects.

A bachelor's degree or master's in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Strong interpersonal communication skills are a must.

Capability to self-manage and prioritize work with a broad view of goals and objectives, as well as work under pressure to meet project deadlines.

Able to use a computer or I-pad and proficient at scheduling and construction software to track RFI's and submittals.
LEED construction experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Information

Salary, Term and Location:
This is a full-time, salaried position located in Park City, UT. Compensation is dependent on experience. Some travel may be required to/from job sites Salary Range $60,000 - $90,000 per year.
