    About UBrigham and Women's Harbor Medical Associates, a member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, is a multispecialty, primary care practice with more than 65 physicians.

    The OpportunityIn the role of the Certified Surgical Technician supporting the Endoscopy Procedural specialty, performing under general supervision of the Registered Nurse and Endoscopist and following established procedures, the Certified Surgical Technician participates in direct patient care prior, during and after endoscopic procedures.

    Performs other duties related to the preparation of endoscopy instrumentation and equipment and maintenance of the Endoscopy Center environment.

    • Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pmLocation:659 Washington Street, Braintree, 02184QualificationsQualifications:Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
    Current and valid Surgical Tech Certification is required.1-2 years Surgical Tech experience preferred. Knowledge of patient care and aseptic technique is essential.

    The Certified Surgical Technologist must have knowledge of septic and aseptic technique and be conscious of both at all times.

    Must be aware of safety standards and hazards in the room. Must have knowledge of patient positioning and assist RN when necessary.
    Must have knowledge of care and handling surgical instruments.
    Must have knowledge of care and safety hazards of all specialty equipment. Understands the normal and recognizes deviation from normal within their specialty.
    Demonstrates expertise on the use and maintenance of equipment and/or machinery required for area.
