    Responsible for coordinating incoming ingredient schedules, requirements, accounting reports, and build critical supplier relationship needs, including but not limited to service agreements, non-disclosures, purchase orders, invoices, insurance, and on-boarding documents. Understands the ramifications of procurement to company's supply chain.

    Accountabilities:
    1. Coordinate incoming material delivery schedules together with plant material managers. Monitor requirements for material needs and maintain reports to assure timely processing of delivery and payment to vendors. Proactively support and communicate updates on material specifications together with Research and Development and Corporate Quality.
    2. Maintain and improve on systems developed to promote successful performance of our suppliers and to support our plant's operations as it relates to procurement activities. Examples: scheduling, spot buying, ensure supply. Ideal candidate should be able to quickly understand current processes to guarantee supply. Upon successful adoption of current processes said candidate must, with the alignment of their line manager, initiative to improve, change or stop any process that they identify as an opportunity for improvement. All changes to process should promote continuous improvement and consistent supply. Examples of processes prime for evaluation: ensure supply escalations from the plant, scheduling, PO creation, vendor performance evaluation.
    3. Collaborate with Sourcing Managers to perform category planning and annual bid activities. This may include but is not limited to gathering data and conducting all aspects of RFx process. Examples of activities: organizing bids pre-launch, sending out bid, aggregating bid responses, collaborating during negotiations and document collection for new suppliers, etc.
    4. Support spot load purchases each week by working with team to understand loads that need to be secured above our contract commitments.
    5. Partner with Sourcing Managers on cost management processes such as category spend analysis, total cost of ownership assessments, cost savings idea generation, and other cost based tactical activities that support category strategies.
    6. Have a mindset that embraces radical candor for the betterment of supplier relations and teammates alike. The ideal candidate would embody this mindset and strive to do what is best for the team / overall success of the business. Speaking up when s/he sees an opportunity for improvement or change.
    7. Facilitate and work closely with sourcing coordinator on various tactical needs as they arise within the procurement group, including but not limited to; issuance of purchase orders, obtaining and distributing data requests, reports, and analysis. May include conducting quality root-cause analysis and representing the Procurement department in meetings, etc.
    8. Assist in driving continuous improvement to drive efficiencies and cost savings to supplier strategic department and company goals and objectives.
    9. Contributes to building budgets and creating forecasts. Track information and maintain data, metrics, KPI's. Analyze data and assist with the creation of internal and external presentations for past, current and future spend. Be able to provide updates at any time.
    Qualifications

    In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.
    • High School Diploma and purchasing or other supply chain experience required. Bachelors' degree preferred.
    • 2 years professional experience in purchasing or supply chain environment or related field preferred with degree. 4-6 years' experience without.
    • Demonstrates critical thinking and has familiarity with procurement and business administration.
    • Experience with manufacturing is a plus.
    • Knowledge:
      o Microsoft Office with advanced excel skills.
      o Good communication skills (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
      o Works well with others even during times of disagreement or pressure.
      o Problem Solving, quantitative skills and decision-making talent.
      o Must be willing and able to work across functions and different levels of the organization.
      o Must have a "doesn't take no for an answer" mindset.
      o Team player, willing to go above and beyond for the success of the company even if it means taking on extra responsibility from time to time.
      o Must have the ability to work through change and maintain a constructive/positive attitude.
    • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
    • Must be able to follow-up and maintain timelines while actively nurturing supplier relationships as well as prepare and deliver presentations, reporting, graphs.
    • Awareness and understanding of supply chain and the interrelationship between procurement and the business preferred.
