    As a Sourcing Specialist, you will provide global procurement support to all Wabash sites, and work closely with the Global Category Manager for an assigned category. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will support the process of selecting and awarding suppliers for short- and long-term production projects that provide the most cost-effective supply chain solutions. Your responsibilities fall within the companys dynamic Global Procurement team which features a fast-paced environment with fun, creative, and passionate people.

    This position would be primarily remote with travel to our corporate office in Lafayette, IN once a month.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Monitors internal reports for new parts needing pricing and quickly work to obtain a competitive price from a reliable source.
    • Work closely with the Global Category Manager and cross functionally on data analysis to ensure the source selection is aligned with the category strategy and achieves cost reduction targets, world class quality & improved service.
    • Track supplier performance and other SCM KPIs
    • Manage inquiries issued by Supply Chain Management teams (facility specific) for the US market and respond within the requested timeline.
    • Monitors the supply market through regular communications with the Buyers & Category Managers including supplier site visits and trade shows. (may require up to 10% travel).
    • Send out Request for Quote inquiries and obtain all relevant information (drawings, specifications, work plans) internally from the technical departments and key stakeholders.
    • Support Material Planning & Logistics to resolve delivery issues as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Lets Talk About Your Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree (Preferred Major: ?Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Information Technology.?)
    • 1-3 years of experience a relevant field
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Analytical capability and able to solve problems
    • Ability to adapt quickly to internally and externally dynamic environment
    • Appropriate interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
    • Required software applications include Microsoft Office, ERP systems e.g., SAP, WebEx, Microsoft Teams
    • Proficiency in working with COUPA and Power BI is a plus
    • Knowledge of commodities, materials and products being purchased is preferred?
