Responsibilities
Monitor contractor operations throughout the project
Review of contractor submittals (schedule, shop drawings, design calculations, catalog cuts, etc.)
Conduct all progress and technical meetings
Process monthly and final payment estimates from the contractor
Oversee inspection staff and schedules and review all pertinent project documentation
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of bridge, road and highway construction inspection experience including Work Zone Traffic Control
5 plus experience as a Resident Engineer/NYS PE License required
Design Build experience a big plus
Recent NYSDOT and/or Thruway project experience required
Knowledge of NYSDOT construction materials, methods and procedures
Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
ACI and Work Zone Safety training
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to collaborate with multiple team members
Clear Driver's License
Physical ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site
