    Description
    Director of Construction Services Well established construction company in growth phase seeking a highly experienced Director of Construction Services.

    Candidates must have experience in the Federal construction industry and a strong program management background with excellent organization and communication skills to interact with customers and senior level management.

    Must be adept at building productive, lasting, and collaborative relationships with subcontractors and teaming partners.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the operations and performance of all Construction Programs:
    Remotely manage Construction Division resources, PM's, on-site superintendents, Safety Officers, QC Managers, etc.

    Manage contract deliverables, schedules, contract P&L performance, and foster positive customer relationships Create organizational objectives Continuously improve existing training program to include creating new and updating existing SOPs.

    Establish employee-specific training goals Work with Operations to develop department-wide reports, specifically around safety, quality and budget through identifying KPIs and other performance indicators.

    Collaborate with other departments Lead proposal/business development efforts HR:

    Train new staff Create goals for employees Actively manage 5-15 employees Track and Improve employee performance Track progress of employee performance Provide evaluations and feedback Responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with the companys overall goals and objectives.

    Expected to lead and motivate their team to achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency.

    The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

    Must have a proven track record of success in the construction field as both a project manager and a higher-level manager of staff in the construction field.

    The candidate must be able to adapt to changing business environments. Must be able to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to achieve company-wide goals.

    The candidate will be required to provide evidence of experience and success in these areas through documentation and written responses from references, upon request.


    Education and/or Experience:

    Minimum ten (10) years in Federal Government, (DoD preferred), Construction Project Management experience, including Design/Build and Design/Bid/Build and IDIQ-type contracts.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school in Construction Management or Engineering. Minimum ten (10) years required with the following software programs: MS Excel MS Word MS Project Adobe Outlook Familiarity with USACE EM required


    Certifications:
    Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP Certification
    • Preferred USACE CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors)
    • Preferred OSHA 30
    • Required 1st Aid/CPR
    • Required prior to start **PLEASE NOTE
    • CANDIDATES WILL BE TESTED IN THE AREAS OF ESTIMATING AND SCHEDULING PRIOR TO OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT.
    Must reside within a four-hour drive of Tyndall AFB and Kennedy Space Center. Travel is anticipated at 30% to other assigned locations (primarily Gulf region) as needed.
