- Process future customer orders – Research and acquire material, give advice on plants, and offer substitutions if needed
- Develop and grow the customer relationship – Proactively know and understand our customer needs
- Be an expert resource for customers – Demonstrate knowledge of the landscape/nursery industry
- Delivery Management – Ensuring customer deliveries are on time and meet customer needs
- Manage Open-orders reports and modify the orders and ship dates based upon customer needs
- Maintain a high level of customer service through phone calls, electronic communication, and customer visits. Document in CRM
- Ensure all customer expectations are documented in SBI and CRM
- Visit customers, and other growing facilities to develop relationship and gain knowledge
- Daily tours to ensure familiarity with on-hand and future inventory
- Inspection of material before shipping
- Driven Sales Minded Personality: You have a strong desire to meet and exceed sales targets, and you're always looking for new opportunities to grow your customer base. You're proactive in identifying potential sales opportunities and are confident in your ability to close deals.
- Basic Computer Skills: You're comfortable using Microsoft Office products and have a solid understanding of basic computer software. You're able to quickly learn new software applications and adapt to changing technology.
- Work Well in a Team Environment: You're a team player who values collaboration and open communication. You're able to work effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery.
- Good Knowledge of Nursery Stock: You have a strong understanding of nursery stock and are able to provide expert advice to customers. You're knowledgeable about different types of plants, making it easy for customers to find the right products for their needs.
- Required: 3 years in related fields, such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Product Sales, Nursery Sales and Account Management, Landscaping
- Required: Experience in customer service and sales
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
