Sr. Applications Engineer - Ann Arbor, United States - Selectek

Description

Selectek has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Applications Engineer in Shelby Township, MI.

In this role, you will estimate job costs and create quotes based on the part assembly requirements, customer requirements, and application experience.

You must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States to be considered.

Responsibilities:
Process customer RFQ's by providing quotations and pricing breakdowns to the company account managers.
Take quote lineups from company account managers or directly from the customer.
Work directly with company account managers to determine machine layouts and concepts for quoting.
Obtain component pricing and quotes from vendors.
Provide pricing breakdowns for all quotes with detailed labor and purchased material content.
Some RFQ's will require a customer specific pricing breakdown.
Process any follow up information requested by company account managers.
Maintain a pricing reference guide for purchased components.


Requirements:
Technical knowledge of assembly machinery processes and industry preferred techniques.
Specific knowledge of assembly machinery, as to powertrain assembly, axle and transmission assembly.
Experience with AutoCad and or Solidworks is preferable.
The ability to create simple assembly line layouts, and visual machine concepts.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites.
Must have valid drivers license. Â

Shift Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay and Wages:
$100,000 - $130,000 annual salary depending on education and experience
