Job Summary:
Oklahoma State University Department of Theatre invites ambitious and quality driven applicants for the tenure track Assistant Professor of Lighting Design & Technology position beginning August 2024. We seek candidates who can move the students towards innovation and excellence through mentorship and engagement inside and outside the classroom. In addition, the candidate will display a strong trajectory of professional and creative accomplishments, research, teaching, and service.
The candidate will teach BA Theatre students design and technical theatre courses from a compassionate, dynamic, intercultural perspective and have a deep understanding of the artistic process using contemporary theatre practices.

Required Qualifications:
MFA in Theatrical Design and Technology
Evidence of professional achievement in lighting design
Experience as a Lead Electrician
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Vectorworks or AutoCAD, Lightwright, ETC Eos, Augment3d, QLab, and other lighting/media control software platforms
Collaborative team player
Evidence of creative research and national profile
Successful university level teaching and mentorship
Evidence of successful grant writing
Digital media experience
