Job Description

The Oncology Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing daily operational activities of team members and patient processes within the oncology service lines. This includes coaching and developing employees to deliver an exceptional patient experience with quality outcomes and a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serves as a supervisor within the core operations leadership team, accountable for leadership competencies such as human resource management, financial resource functions, and change and process improvement initiatives.
Supervises and educates designated team members to function as high-performing teams, utilizing process improvement techniques to develop and implement action plans for efficient workflows and enhanced patient experiences.
Collects and analyzes data to measure results, supervises the flow of patients, and reallocates team members when necessary.
Assists in developing clinic and departmental goals, standards, and objectives that support the strategic plan, communicates effectively to motivate team members, and ensures an exceptional patient experience is delivered.
Acts as a liaison across hospital departments, third-party stakeholders, and between providers and team members, ensuring compliance with standards of care, policies, and procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in healthcare management or nursing, or related field preferred.
Minimum two years' experience with leadership responsibilities, including coaching, mentoring, and development of others.
Adequate clinical knowledge and skills to plan, evaluate, and supervise patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

Oncology or acute care experience with infusion/chemotherapy experience.

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, strong diplomacy, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
Tact, concern for others, objectivity, and ability to adapt to change.
Ability to maintain control during stressful situations, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize work.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a health care setting where contact with patients who may have a contagious illness could occur.
Occasionally exposed to hazardous chemicals, moderate noise level, and regular requirement to sit, stand, twist, bend, walk, use hands, and speak.
