    A large, regional CPA firm located in Boston, MA is active in their search for a permanent Senior Tax Manager.

    Reporting into a Partner, the Senior Tax Manager will lead and manage multiple tax engagements while being committed to growing/ developing the existing accounting team.

    This Senior tax Manager role will require someone to be on-site at least two days per week (non-negotiable).
    Responsibilities Of The Senior Tax Manager Include

    Supervise multiple client engagements, providing technical planning and guidance to a diverse client base encompassing private entities such as C-Corps, S-Corps, Trusts, Partnerships, and high-profile individuals/families.

    Act as the primary point of contact for clients, engaging directly with client owners and senior team members to address their needs effectively.

    Identify and resolve potential or existing issues by conducting thorough research and offering consultancy services on tax-related matters.
    Collaborate with and advise clients on business and process improvement initiatives, serving as a trusted business advisor.

    Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and exposure to various issues, including mergers and acquisitions, entrepreneurship, funding requirements, growth objectives, and exit strategies.

    Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental training programs.
    Establish and oversee budgets, assist with staff scheduling and workload distribution.
    Prepare client invoices in a timely manner and provide support in collection efforts.
    Conduct formal training seminars for staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    Participate in recruitment events, support employee performance management, offer training assistance, and explore business development prospects.
    BS or MS in Accounting or Tax
    ~5+ years of experience within public accounting
    ~ Ability to lead and manage a team of tax professionals on engagements
    ~ Strong knowledge of tax laws with the ability to communicate to shareholders
