Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the WG , your resume must demonstrate that you have the ability to perform the work of WG-06 Materials Handler as demonstrated by experience under normal supervision receiving, issuing, handling, selecting and preparing for shipment, segregating, storing, stowing, inventorying, and documenting the movement and storage of supplies, equipment, and materials, in accordance with prescribed regulations; performing inspections of incoming shipments to check for damage; documenting discrepancies; reading shipping and tracking documents; using computer applications to maintain required data; performing the consolidation, rotation, or relocation of stored items, as directed; complying with prescribed proper handling and storage procedures; operating motor vehicles, forklifts and material handling equipment.

Education There is no educational substitution for specialized experience in this series.Additional Information You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Supply Management Department at the Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville FL (FLCJ) whose mission is to enable the warfighters to accomplish their mission across the full range of military operations.
The duty station is Naval Station Mayport, FL. There is one vacancy at the WG-06 level and two at the WG-05 level. You will be hired at either the WG-05 or WG-06. THERE IS NO NON-COMPETITIVE PROMOTIONAL POTENTIAL. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
