Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Manchester, NH

Salary: Starting at $25 per hour (Pay negotiable based on experience)

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility. Your responsibilities will include performing preventive maintenance, repairing process equipment, and maintaining the facility to high standards. Any extrusion experience is a plus, and we are willing to offer a higher salary for experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as indicated in the preventive maintenance program.
• Repair process equipment and address maintenance work orders promptly and effectively.
• Maintain walkways and parking areas as necessary, especially during winter conditions.
• Write purchase orders and liaise with vendors to obtain necessary parts and equipment.
• Detect and report any improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and equipment.

Qualifications and Training Requirements:

• Minimum education requirement: High School diploma. Some secondary or vocational training, or equivalent experience, is desired.
• Basic reading and math skills are necessary to accurately execute maintenance and repair procedures.
• Training as per Maintenance category in Procedure # SAFETY-TRAIN training grid is required. Annual retraining in Hazardous Waste Handling is essential.
• Review department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the Department Supervisor.
