- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Layout of curbs, structures, drainage, basins, utilities and edge of pavements, including grade calculations.
- Assist with gathering as-built (record survey) data when required.
- Conduct existing condition surveys.
- Resolve technical problems and assist with training field employees on GPS equipment.
- Establish GPS Control / calibrations for field operations.
- Setup and maintain GPS equipment for field operations, including machine controls.
- Work closely with field and office personnel.
- 3 years + experience jobsite layout staking.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications
- Experience using GPS and robotic surveying technologies, methods, and software.
- Proficiency with Trimble (preferred) construction layout software and equipment
- Ability to work 5-6 days a week, 8-12 hours a day.
- Associate degree (preferred) related to surveying
- Client is only interested in candidates who have done surveying for strictly construction projects.
