    **BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is currently seeking a strategic HR Business Partner**

    We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our ambitious Human Resources dream team If you are passionate about HR operations and creating a great company culture, this is the right position for you.

    At BWXT, the HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in aligning human resources practices with the strategic goals of the organization. They serve as consultants, bridging the gap between HR functions and business objectives.     **Responsibilities**

    As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

    1. **Consult with Management:** Collaborate closely with managers to provide daily HR guidance. Understand their needs and challenges and offer tailored solutions.

    2. **Analyze Trends and Metrics:** Dive into HR data to identify trends, track performance, and make informed decisions. Use metrics to forecast & drive improvements.

    3. **Resolve Complex Employee Relations Issues:** Tackle sensitive matters, such as conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Strive for fair resolutions that maintain a respectful work environment and promote positive employee relations.

    4. **Promote Employee Development:** Partner with management and employees to enhance work relationships, foster career development, lead succession planning, boost morale, and increase productivity.

    5. **Provide HR Policy Guidance:** Interpret and communicate HR policies to employees at all levels of the organization, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.

    6. **Monitor Workforce Planning:** Partner with leadership and Talent Acquisition to provide full cycle support for the sites hiring needs to include requisition creation; interview participation; hiring manager consultation; offer creation/delivery; onboarding and presentation of new hire orientation.

    7. **Suggest New HR Strategies** : Innovate Propose fresh approaches to improve processes, decrease span, improve employee experiences, and further BWXTs mission.

    **Requirements and Skills**

    To excel in this role, youll need:

    + **Experience** : Solid progressive background in HR operations, employee management, and organizational development.

    + **Problem-Solving Skills** : Adept at resolving complex employee relations issues.

    + **Strategic Thinking** : Capability to align HR best practices with business goals.

    + **Communication Skills** : Clear communication with management, employees, and the HR team.

    + **Change Management** : Willingness to drive organizational changes and adapt to evolving needs.

    **Minimum Requirements**

    + A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or closely related field.

    + A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience as a human resources professional (i.e. generalist or HR business partner).

    + Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

    + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

    + Ability to periodically travel with short notice (i.e. 24 hours notice).

    + Ability to report to an assigned office location in Lynchburg, VA. Hybrid schedule will be considered as appropriate to daily work requirements.

    Pay: $62,000 - $109,000

    The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $109,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will, unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
