- The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the safety and health of heavy civil projects.
- Experienced in heavy civil projects to include DOT, excavation, trenching, utilities, roadways, highways, site development.
- The focal point will be on preventing injuries, equipment damage, vehicle crashes, property damage and liability incidents.
- Share and provide technical safety knowledge to manage the operation of heavy equipment trenching, confined spaces, and other high-risk activities.
- Conduct safety, health, and environmental inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Safety, and professional safety certifications with 5+ years of construction safety experience. Safety experience in excavation, confined space, rigging, highway work zone, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations, VOSH regulations, VDOT temporary traffic control and highway work zone safety.
