Join Our Team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Leapros has partnered with a leading General Contractor in the Greater Austin, TX Market for a direct-hire opportunity. This role involves occasional travel to San Antonio, TX and College Station, TX, providing stability with their long-term project backlog.

Position Title:

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Position Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining company-owned tools, equipment, and vehicles in optimal condition, following guidelines from the direct manager and Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and troubleshoot defective tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Conduct standard and complex repairs as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on all company-owned items.
Manage replacement part orders and deliveries.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
Collaborate with Yard staff and provide necessary support.
Take on additional duties to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
High school diploma with a focus on mechanical shop or a two-year degree in mechanics.
Minimum of two years of hands-on equipment repair experience.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Compensation:

Estimated pay scale: $29-37 per hour. Actual compensation varies based on qualifications and job-related factors.
