    Food Service Coordinator Summary Title:Food Service CoordinatorID:1021Location:Tallahassee, FLDepartment:N/A Description **Food Service Coordinator/Preschool Floater job description:**

    We are looking for a qualified Food Service Coordinator to prepare and serve age appropriate meals for preschool children. This position includes kitchen duties, cleaning, inventory and menu planning. You will also be expected to help in classrooms from time to time, so experience with children is a must.

    The Food Service Coordinator is to ensure that all food and safety standards are upheld, the food is appealing and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct for each age group, and it is cooked and served in a timely manner. The kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Create and execute balanced lunch and snack menus for children ages 1-5

    Forecast and develop shopping lists for all planned menu items

    Working cooperatively with vendors to order supplies and food

    Inventory all kitchen supplies and order more as needed

    Kitchen is cleaned and organized at all times (up to DCF and Safe Serve standards)

    Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times

    **Requirements:**

    Proven experience working in the food service industry

    Excellent communication skills

    Patient, friendly and reliable

    Flexible and able to multi-task

    Ability to work hard in a fast paced environment

    Fun loving and creative

    DCF 45 hours (preferred)

    Experience in a school setting (preferred)

    Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (preferred)

    Ability to work well with co-workers and administration

    Ability to work with children
