    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Sinclair Manufacturing is seeking a qualified Sales Associate with experience in manufacturing. Sinclair manufactures hermetically sealed packages for the optical, commercial, and aerospace & defense industries so this role acts as liaison between our customers and various departments. The candidate should be personable, professional and a great communicator as well as having an eye for the details.

    We get excited about candidates who have

    • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel.
    • Knowledge in SalesForce and Adobe products.
    • Two or more years in the manufacturing industry
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings
    • Knowledge of ERP Systems a plus
    Requirements:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Customer Service

    A. Perform a variety of customer services to Sinclair customers through application of knowledge of our organization, its' services and products. This shall be achieved by the following:

    i. Resolve customer requests, questions and complaints frequently, requiring analysis of situations to determine best us of resources.

    ii. Communicate to customers any delays to original commit date.

    iii. Maintain customer recommit log.

    iv. Interface with customers & SMC Engineering any changes, problems, etc.

    v. Staff trade shows

    vi. Customer visits

    vii. Coordinate/communicate customer requirements and priorities with SMC Planning, Engineering, and manufacturing.

    viii. Serves as a liaison between customer and various departments.

    B. Solicit sales of new or additional services

    C. Quote

    i . Collect purchased component and internal manufacturing costs to provide Customer quotations.

    ii. Follow-up on quotes provided to determine likelihood of bid win, or reason for loss.

    D. Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    E. Professionalism

    i. Should be outgoing, personable, and a good conversationalist.

    F. Sinclair Quality Management System

    i. Become familiar with Sinclair's QMS requirements as they relate to office administration.

    ii. Have knowledge and understanding of Sinclair Quality policy.

    iii. Communicate customer complaints to Quality as required.

    Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Language Skills: ability to read and understand, business correspondence as it relates to job function, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Sinclair personnel.

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and listen. The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Employee must be able to sit for prolonged period of time. The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach above shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close visions, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
