    Job Details:


    • Work night shifts with 36 hours per week schedule

    • 13-week assignment with 2:1 patient ratios

    • Must have at least 1 year of traveler experience - first-time travelers will not be accepted

    • CICU/CVPICU experience must be clearly documented in work history

    • May float to cardiac medical surgical floor to assist with patients

    • Float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest)

    • Care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents with congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis

    • Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, ECMO, VADs, advanced monitoring lines, and arterial/CVP lines

    • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, CCRN (only AHA certifications accepted, RQI not accepted)

    • Must have both Missouri or compact license and Kansas license

    • Complete medication/dosage test in first week with 100% passing score required (3 attempts given)

    • Any kid-friendly color or pattern scrubs allowed

    • Use Cerner charting system

    • Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

The facility operates as a comprehensive children's hospital with a 24-bed PICU unit and provides advanced pediatric cardiac care services. The organization emphasizes excellence in pediatric healthcare and maintains teaching hospital status with state-of-the-art medical technology and specialized pediatric services.
