Description

The purpose of this position is to provide security for courtrooms and judges.

Essential Duties

• Maintain order in courtrooms.
• Assist judges.
• Ensure all occupants of the courtroom adhere to the rules.
• Protect members of the jury for outside contact from the public.
• Escort jury to areas outside of the courtroom such as restaurants, place of lodging, etc.
• Deliver confidential courtroom documents.
• May need to detain or apprehend escaping prisoner.
• Respond quickly to emergencies.
• And other duties as assigned.

Minimum Training and Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent

2 years of experience in security or law enforcement.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver's License

Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
