WATER PRACTICE
Michael Baker International's Water Group provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle.
We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services.
Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker is actively seeking a Drainage Engineer for the Phoenix, AZ office.
The successful candidate will be a task leader for drainage related tasks on projects for local and regional municipalities and flood control districts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project related drainage design tasks, drainage report preparation, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Candidate will coordinate with clients and have opportunities to participate in marketing activities.
The candidate shall have strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Opportunities will be provided to work with clients and participate in marketing activities.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
4-10 years of related experience with hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, ArcGIS, and additional experience in Civil 3D, MicroStation and Inroads is a plus.
You will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of storm water management and principles of hydrology and hydraulics of storm water runoff.
Professional engineering license (PE) in Arizona or desire to obtain within one year.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $72,000 – 104,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
