    Description

    We are seeking Predictive Maintenance Technicians for our First Quality Tissue plant located in Anderson, SC . Predictive Maintenance Technicians are responsible for specific facets of Asset Condition Monitoring with focus in use Predictive Maintenance Technologies including, but not limited to: Thermography (IR), Predictive Motor Analysis (PdMA), Motion Amplification, and Ultrasound. The job requires development, execution, and improvement of Condition Monitoring Routes, updating Computerized Databases and communicating results through the publication of reports and presentation of findings with the objective of improving overall asset reliability.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    1. Observes all safety rules and always uses required PPE.
    2. Follows all applicable regulations (OSHA, NFPA, GMP, FDA, ISO, etc.) and SOPs.
    3. Contributes to Company and Departmental Metrics (i.e., Safety, Intelex Reporting, Training, and Cost Savings).
    4. Submits Work Orders in CMMS and follows Work Order progress to completion.
    5. Stays compliant with Individual Training Plan (ITP) and attends required training seminars to improve job competency and maintain certifications.
    6. Repairs equipment and performs other tasks as requested.
    7. Maintain clean and orderly work area.
    8. Technical responsibilities include:
    a. Proficient use of Thermography, Predictive Motor Analysis, Motion Amplification and Ultrasound to evaluate asset health and improve overall equipment reliability.
    b. Development and execution of the following Predictive Routes:
    i. IR inspection of Power Distribution Systems (MCC's, Breakers, Panels, etc.).
    ii. PDMA motor testing for evaluation and acceptance testing of motors.
    iii. Motion Amplification Routes on overhead oscillating fans in Converting.
    iv. Ultrasound routes on pneumatics, steam/condensate, and rotating equipment.
    c. Develop and maintain databases, including CMMS to record and report findings.
    d. Communicates findings through reports, data trends and presentations to management.
    e. Promotes, shares, and teaches to develop and improve predictive maintenance skills within the Maintenance Organization.

    The ideal candidate should possess the following:

    1. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education/experience required.
    2. Technical or Vocational training related to electrical/controls is preferred.
    3. Knowledgeable and experienced with plant electrical power distribution preferred.
    4. Electrical Industrial Maintenance and/or Multi-Craft Experience.
    5. Knowledge and experience in Pulp and Paper preferred.
    6. Good analytical skills and ability to communicate results, written and verbally, across organizational roles (maintenance, engineering, and management).
    7. Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, CMMS and all software supporting Condition Monitoring Equipment (IR, Ultrasound, PdMA, and Motion Amplification).
    8. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with willingness to assist other team members whenever needed.
    9. Must be a Self-Starter, able to perform all job responsibilities with minimal direction.
    10. Proficiency in CMMS, preferably EAM Hexagon (formally known as Infor). 11. Internal Candidates – Level I IR Certification now or ability to obtain within 1 year and achieve Level II IR Certification within 2 years. Ability to complete Training/Certification in Level I Ultrasound, PDMA Motor Testing and Motion Amplification. Completion of required training and certifications requirements is required for continuation in the position.
    12. External Candidates – Certified Industrial electrician. 3 to 5 years' experience in Industrial Maintenance and familiar with IR, Ultrasound, Industrial Motor Testing and Motion Amplification. Must have Level I IR Certification with demonstrated experience. Must obtain Level II IR certification within one year. Completion of required training and certification requirements is required for continuation in the position.
