MILVETS is currently seeking to fill a full time Database Administrator - (SECRET CLEARANCE) position.

Position Title: Database Administrator- (SECRET CLEARANCE)

Location: Carlisle Barracks, PA – Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD

Clearance: United States Department of Defense Active Secret Clearance

Full Time, Salary: Competitive

Position Start: June 9, 2024 (Pending Contract Award)

Period of Performance: June 2024 through May 2029

Position Summary: MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a full time Database Administrator (SECRET CLEARANCE). The Database Administrator will be supporting the government at Carlisle Barracks, PA – Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.

Responsibilities:

Participates in/supports the identification, evaluation, and recommendation of DBMS design concepts and/or available products based on a matching of system capabilities to validated user requirements for the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) classified and unclassified communication systems.
Determines file organization standards, table structures, indexing methods, replication schedules, and access controls for specific applications.
Develops data queries in SQL and other database languages.
Monitors database for usage, troubleshoots data compatibility and integrity issues, and makes modifications for improved performance.
Creates database administration policies and procedures.
100% on site position.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field (4 years of experience as a database manager may be substituted in lieu of formal education)

Certification: Must maintain IAT Level II certification (Like CompTIA Security+) Certified Microsoft Azure Database Administrator or MySQL Database Administrator certification

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
