    Reporting to the CFO, as the VP, Strategic Finance and FP&A, you will lead the metrics, forecasting, and development of processes to support decision making and the strategic growth of MasterClass.

    You will manage and lead a team to execute on a broad array of responsibilities, including company-wide strategic initiatives; bookings, content investment, revenue and topline KPI reporting and forecasting; closely engage with the teams to manage pricing and other projects critical to the success of the business.

    You will be tasked to drive strategic analysis in a cross-functional, matrixed organization across marketing, data, finance, marketing, product, and sales teams.

    You will drive business insights and continuous improvement, bring a quantitative, data driven mindset, and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

    Comfort interacting at all levels of senior management, including VP, SVP and C-suite is a must.

    What You Will Do:
    Own the planning and scenario analysis for the long-term financial plan, working closely with the CEO, CFO, and other key stakeholders
    Lead discussions and provide robust forecasting, reporting and input to senior stakeholders on both medium-term and short-term financial goals, opportunities and strategic priorities
    Lead and plan annual budget and regular forecasting cycles
    Drive tools, systems, and processes to enhance financial planning effectiveness and efficiency, including cost control
    Ensure that reporting to the business is succinct, consistent & insightful, providing business leaders with the insights they need to drive financial results
    Partner with finance colleagues and departmental leaders to ensure risks are understood & reported as necessary and opportunities are leveraged, whether to improve revenue or company efficiency and profitability
    Ensure effective partnership with key stakeholders and business leaders for clear alignment and visibility to their financial cost, plan, and forecasting
    Track strategic initiatives to ensure the business remains consistent, course correcting where necessary
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales Ops, Customer Success Ops & Marketing Ops, as well as build relationships with departmental stakeholder and senior Executive leaders
    Lead and grow the FP&A team, scaling it to fit the growth of the company
    Take a leadership role in ad-hoc commercial projects, including strategic exits, M&A activity and partnering with the business on transformation workstreams for product offerings etc

    About You
    Extensive experience leading and developing the finance and FP&A function, with a proven track record in building and growing outstanding finance teams with best-practices in a fast-growing environment
    Experience with "Software as a Service" (SaaS) or consumer tech business model and metrics highly preferred. Experience in media, content, or edtech preferred but not required.
    Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization
    Strong executive leadership skills with experience partnering at the Board, investor, and executive management levels
    Proven track record of developing people, leading, and managing high-performing teams
    Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as commercial and business judgment, with demonstrated intellectual curiosity and rigor
    Comfortable with ambiguity, with a proven ability to operate in a highly flexible and dynamic environment.
    Strategic, innovative thinker with proven execution, leadership, & communication skills
    Prior experience in investment banking, management consulting, and/or private equity strongly preferred
