    Job DescriptionHow you Will Power our Purpose (Job Summary):As a Senior Marketing Specialist at the Greater Austin YMCA, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth and engagement in key program areas such as Childcare (Afterschool, Preschool, Camp), Aquatics, Recruitment Hiring, and Youth Sports.

    Your role will be pivotal in leading targeted marketing campaigns within allocated budgets, utilizing your strategic acumen to maximize impact.

    From developing detailed project plans to crafting compelling narratives, you'll leverage your expertise to enhance program effectiveness and elevate the YMCA's brand reach.

    Collaborating closely with program teams, you'll ensure seamless execution and coordination, fostering strong partnerships to achieve marketing objectives while amplifying the YMCA's mission impact.

    How You Will Make an Impact (Essential Functions)Campaign Management and ImplementationLead marketing campaigns for Childcare (Afterschool, Preschool, Camp), Aquatics, Recruitment Hiring, and Youth Sports within assigned budgets.

    Marketing management of key programs to support enrollment growth sustainability.

    This includes annual and quarterly calendar planning, benchmarking (programs, pricing, messaging, digital experience), and cross-functional leadership to optimize the value proposition.

    Develop, manage, execute, support, and analyze innovative marketing plans that raise the profile of the Greater Austin YMCA, generate demand, and demonstrate the organization's focus on strengthening the community.

    Monitor and support center communications such as push notifications, SMS, email, digital screens, and social media. Champion the brand by bringing mission/impact stories to life through marketing activations.
    Lead customization of in-center communication tools that delivers on best practices for path of the eye and dwell time. Help train centers on new asset creation tool.

    Maintain accurate timelines and plans in the project management system, Planning and AnalysisDevelop tactical plans from a defined vision and strategy for marketing.

    Translate high-level plans into detailed project plans with clear timelines, ensuring visibility to cross-functional teams and facilitating proactive execution and coordination.

    Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, make hypotheses, create compelling stories and make fact-based recommendations for the Greater Austin Y brand, category or consumer trends to enhance the brand's equity and meaningful reach.

    Identify new business opportunities and connect with consumers throughout the Y's regional footprint ranging from email marketing to direct mail marketing to other channels.

    Drive improvement of program effectiveness through audience segmentation, journey mapping, test and learn methods, and learning plans. Coordinate, implement, and track progress to deliver objectives and assignments on time and on budget within assigned tools. Monitor project/campaign status, communicate clearly effectively, assign resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time.

    Prepare reports for discussion and analysis of key marketing and business performance indicators and partner with marketing leadership to identify advanced reporting needs and analyze performance trends, CX insights, and best practices to provide optimization recommendations.

    Understand marketing best practices and stay ahead of global industry trends.

    Collaboration and Relationship BuildingPartner across departments to amplify the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, data integrity management, and new technology integrations.

    Resolve conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies when timeline adjustments need to be made. Spend up to 50% of the work week at local center locations, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
    Complete other duties as assigned. What You Bring to the Community EnterpriseA bachelor's degree or a blend of education, professional experience, and training.
    At least 3 years of professional experience with a background in communications or marketing.

    Ability to translate high-level plans into detailed project plans with clear timelines, ensuring visibility to cross-functional teams and facilitating proactive execution and coordination.

    Strong writing and editing skills for multiple communications platforms including web, email marketing, and social media.
    Understanding of content creation, graphics, and photography; executing small projects and making edits; and social media experience.
    Experience using project management systems such as , ASANA, and others.
    Consumer insights/analytics experience with the ability to concisely deliver insights around marketplace opportunities and needs.
    Knowledge of tools, e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Canva, Marq, or ability to demonstrate proficiency following training.
    Event management experience is a plus.
    Graphic design experience is a plus. Bilingual is a plus.
