    Position: Criminal Defense Paralegal

    Job Description: Established law firm in Glendale seeks a Criminal Defense Paralegal to join their team. The ideal Criminal Defense Paralegal possesses 5+ years of experience assisting with trial, drafting legal documents, and can effectively communicate.

    Criminal Defense Paralegal Duties:

    • Support attorneys through the life cycle of criminal cases, from initial client interviews to post-trial proceedings.
    • Draft and file various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and briefs.
    • Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather evidence and formulate case strategies.
    • Review and organize discovery materials, including police reports, witness statements, and forensic evidence.
    • Prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of all documentation.
    • Assist in courtroom proceedings, including attendance at trials, coordination of witnesses, and presentation of exhibits.
    • Maintain organized case files, calendars, and deadlines, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
    • Conduct thorough legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations pertaining to criminal defense matters.
    • Effectively communicate with clients, attorneys, and court personnel, providing timely updates on case status and promptly addressing inquiries.

    Criminal Defense Paralegal Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience working in Criminal Defense required.
    • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to work with manual case files rather than electronic databases.

    Additional Details:

    Medical, Dental, Vision: Employer pays 100%

    Salary Range between $60-80k

    Location: Fully onsite in Glendale, CA
