We are currently seeking a talented **Cook** for preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes. The Cook is responsible for executing prep and service of cold or hot stations as scheduled and should remain the highest standards of quality and sanitation.

**Schedule: Friday/Saturday - 10:00am - 6:30pm**

The successful candidate will be responsible to perform the following:

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES:**

**Essential Job Duties:**

Preps scheduled station for service and executes meal service to community standards.

Assist with and preps for all cold station items as per standardized recipes.

Assist with and preps all sauted, fried, grilled, steamed and baked items as per standardized recipes. Assist with all kitchen food served as required.

Prepares and assist in the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and special diet orders. Assist in planning food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.

Assist in determining amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and seeing that supplies are obtained from storage areas in adequate time for meal production.

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.

A minimum of one year of kitchen/culinary experience in a senior living facility, hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution.

Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.

Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
