We are currently looking for an experienced:

REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Part Time, Nights - (7pm - 7am)

Job Description:

Provide quality nursing care to patients following physician's orders, state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Administer prescribed medications (oral, s.q., I.M., or I.V.) according to the physician's instructions and facility protocols.
Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
Support physicians during rounds as necessary.
Remain with and attend to patients during MD rounds, physical examinations, and treatments.
Complete scheduled treatments and maintain proper documentation. Implement infection control measures as required.
Comply with regulations regarding cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
Assist in research related to nursing care quality when assigned.
Help with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions unit/hall. Coordinate patients' annual physical exams with attending physician and ensure timely completion of physicals and related documentation.

Job Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
Current license from North Carolina Board of Nursing with renewal proof every other year.
Demonstrate genuine interest in geriatric nursing and follow doctor's orders for patient care.
Maintain CPR certification yearly.
Participate in in-service training and mandatory staff meetings.
Capable of supervising nursing assistants to ensure timely and proper completion of tasks.
Dependable, flexible, and able to collaborate effectively with nursing staff, other departments, patients, and families.
Capable of making critical decisions regarding nursing issues understanding the impact errors can have on patients.
