Job DescriptionKCRW is your always-on connection to music, news, culture, and each other — on the radio, online, and in-person. We belong to Los Angeles, connecting diverse perspectives and the sounds of Southern California with curious communities around the corner and around the world. We are a dynamic and exciting workplace filled with passionate and creative people. Our large roster of original, locally-created programming, podcasts, and events connects us to what's happening in LA and around the world.
KCRW is looking for an organized, hardworking, creative, and passionate intern to join our Events department in Summer 2024, from June to August. The Events Intern will work with the Event Director for approximately 30 hours/week to support the department through production and administrative support during KCRW's biggest event season. The Events Intern will work with KCRW's full Events department and collaborate with the Marketing, Music, Communications, Social Media/Marketing, Membership and Art departments. The Events Intern will contact vendors, track RSVPs, and assist with event coordination to help the department successfully host large-scale events for the community of Los Angeles. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the Events department and public radio operations at one of LA's most well-known cultural institutions. We plan for this internship to be hybrid, taking place in-person at our Media Center in Santa Monica and remotely. Night and weekend availability are required for this position.
