Description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives. This includes both establishing strategic direction and providing oversight; as well as establishing companywide standards and KPI's. In addition to overall accountability for maintaining Environmental systems, audits, and certifications, the role leads all safety initiatives and standards, and ensures compliance as well as all applicable regulations for OSHA, EPA, as well as state and local requirements. Candidate must be live in Buffalo, NY area
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Develop and standardize SOP and compliance programs to create and maintain a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
· Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
· Develop, standardize, and maintain KPI's for multiple facilities in the areas of health and safety.
· Ensure all facilities are standardized as far as policies, procedures, SOP's, forms, etc. when possible.
· Drive continuous improvement in all facilities, particularly in the areas of health and safety.
· Perform any audits as needed.
· Provide leadership and training to site EHS support personnel as needed.
· Work closely with outside regulatory bodies, consultants, etc. as needed.
· Responsible for management of staff and other duties of EHS areas at multiple facilities.
· Act as subject matter expert regarding health and safety policies and procedures.
· Domestic and international travel required - approximately 25% to support all US and international facilities.
· Communicate with all required departments and personnel as needed.
· Responsible for complying with the company's Environmental Policy Manual, applicable work instructions and reporting any environmental nonconformance and/or potential nonconformance to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, health and or safety focused preferred. Minimum of 7 years' experience leading an EHS program in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $120, $130,000.00 per year
