    Your Future Plans

    The Back Office ensures the correct and timely processing & invoicing of all trading activities, which take place on the international energy and energy-related commodity markets. The transactions done at RWE Supply & Trading include derivative trading as well as physical products.

    Currently we are looking for a new colleague in our team to support us in our daily processes. Within the team we cover collateral management, clearing operations for all exchange traded deals as well as the collateralization of all OTC traded deals. Our US Back Office main site is located in Chicago, with other offices located around the globe. The RWE headquarters are located in Essen, Germany. Due to the close collaboration with our other global offices occasional business trips (domestic & international) are possible.

    Your responsibilities

    • Perform daily margin call process including valuation reviews, dispute handling, reconciliation, and settlements
    • Close collaboration with internal business units such as Front Office, IT, Finance, Legal, Credit Risk and Accounting teams
    • Correspondence with CCP's, Banks, Brokers and external counterparties
    • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage problems while mitigating operational risk
    • Testing & collaboration with Back Office Technology teams to enhance technology in our applications as well as automating of manual daily processes
    • Documentation of processes for training and compliance purposes

    Your powerful skills

    • Bachelor's Degree majoring in Finance, Economics, Engineering or other business related field and/or relevant work experience
    • Exceptional problem solving skills - must be willing to tackle issues head on and propose potential solutions
    • Ability to learn & understand system architectures, the life-cycle of a trade, and how different applications communicate with each other
    • Strong analytical, numerical and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
    • Passionate about making RWE an even greater place to work
    • Build effective relationships & work in a team environment, but also comfortable working independently

    Advantageous, not a must

    • Relevant work experience in payments, collateral & margining (ie; Bilateral or Tri-party margining, Clearing House, Credit/Market Risk, etc.)
    • Experience using trading systems, specifically for the energy industry (ie; ENDUR, SAP, PCI)
    • MBA, CFA, CPA or any advanced certifications
