    Description
    We are a Home Healthcare Agency that services areas across all counties of the Bay Area, and currently, we need a professional and experienced Intake Coordinator to join our growing team.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities:
    • Handle daily patient referral & intake operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and Joint Commission referral/intake regulatory requirements.
    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.
    • Ensure the seamless transition of patients to home care.
    • Perform office duties such as answering telephones (multi-line phone system and making appointments or calls to the appropriate party) completing insurance forms and answering any patient inquiries.
    • Consult with a physician regarding incomplete patient tests/consults or other incomplete orders before the patient visit.
    • Create, maintain, copy, and file patient files, records, and other information as needed.
    • Request for authorizations, follow up on denials and correspond with Adjusters to answer any questions.
    • Verify insurance coverage and assist the billing department with processing claims.

    Required Skills & Abilities:
    • 1-3 years of medical experience preferred.
    • Fluency in a language other than English, a plus.
    • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of medicine.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
