Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team.. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality dishes to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for presentation, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Examples of shifts available are week nights 3-close (close at 10, finish typically 10:30/10:45) and weekends 12-volume (volume based on business, typically between 7pm-8:30pm). We are also seeking an employee to work Saturday nights at our late night window 11:00pm -2:30 am (this shift is at a higher hourly with split tips)
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with other kitchen staff to ensure a seamless service.
- Demonstrate expertise in food service
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as needed to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Collaborate with the chef and kitchen staff to develop weekly specials
- Perform other duties as required, including assisting with food presentation and plating.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and meal planning
- Proven experience with knife skills and food service.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and providing a positive dining experience.
- Experience with menu planning and food presentation is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficiency with knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Experience in a restaurant
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with dietary aide and catering services.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
