    We are seeking a seasoned manager/supervisor with experience in either a Sterile Processing Environment and/or general experience as a staff manager or supervisor.

    About the Role

    As an SPD Supervisor, you will ensure patient safety and decrease infectious risk by supervising and assessing the quality of work activities of all Sterile Processing personnel.

    You will actively work alongside personnel, addressing daily questions and concerns, and support training for the Sterile Processing Department.

    This position involves overseeing the second shift team, including 10-15 Technicians and Tech Leads.

    Schedule and Benefits

    The schedule includes evenings, 8-hour shifts from 2:30pm to 11pm, with full-time hours of 80 per two weeks.

    Pay starts at $21.85 per hour, with opportunities for advancement, and includes excellent comprehensive medical/dental benefits and more.

    Core Functions

    • Supervises daily operational activities of Sterile Processing while performing daily work alongside personnel.
    • Assists in conducting interviews, selecting/hiring, and coordinating orientation for qualified personnel.
    • Develops educational plans for Sterile Processing employees and evaluates employees based on CentraCare policies and procedures and infection control guidelines.
    • Provides coaching and open communication for staff to voice concerns, give feedback, or make suggestions.
    • Helps staff develop individual plans to meet career goals through educational, mentoring, and other self-growth opportunities.
    • Demonstrates effective problem-solving activities with staff, customers, physicians, and other departments.

    Requirements

    Education: High School Diploma or GED graduate or equivalent required.

    Experience: 3 years minimum experience in Sterile Processing or relevant healthcare or management experience.

    Licensing and Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Personnel (CSPDT) required within 1 year of hire.
