- Hold a valid Oklahoma teacher certificate.
- Meet all certification requirements including teaching area endorsement in the State of Oklahoma.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.

- Plans for and executes instructional strategies that encourage the development of critical thinking, problem solving and performance skills relating to short- and long-term objectives.
- Develops instructional plans that are in alignment with state standards and JPS standards and objectives.
- Uses pacing guides and primary sources consistent with district expectations.
- Plans consistently to address students' diverse learning needs.
- Plans for flexible groupings which allow for differentiated instruction.
- Prepares materials and equipment prior to the start of the lesson.
- Establishes a classroom climate where students are engaged, and expectations are clear.
- Monitors the behavior of all students during work time as well as transitions to breaks and school dismissal times.
- Maintains student dignity when discussing misbehaviors.
- Follows the procedures, practices and guidelines outlined by the school, district, state and federal laws intended to keep students healthy and safe.
- Develops lesson plans based on student data.
- Plans with other members of the team and contributes to team meetings in meaningful ways.
- Maintains substitute plans that include class rosters, seating charts, behavior plans, emergency plans and identification of diverse learning groups.
- Uses assessments to evaluate student learning and groups students flexibly according to data obtained.

- Embeds literacy into lessons.
- Embeds mathematical practices and science process skills daily into lessons.

Qualifications:
Position Goal: To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential by translating the district curriculum goals and objectives into learning experiences for each student.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Employment Terms: June 5, July 10, 2024; 5 days per week at 5.5 hours, 1st & 2nd Semesters; Community Education - Temporary Contract
Compensation: $ students), $60.00 additional student per half credit
