    Description

    Delphi Capital Management ("DCM") is a subsidiary of Tokio Marine Holdings and serves as the investment manager for its USD investment portfolios and to other TM group companies. DCM has $50B AUM and a strong proven track record of profitable growth.

    We are looking for an analyst to work closely with the Portfolio Manager to manage, analyze, optimize, and grow DCM's private credit portfolio. The analyst will monitor the performance of the existing portfolio, evaluate new growth opportunities within private credit and alternative assets, and assist in the underwriting of direct co-investments. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in fundamental credit analysis and/or investment manager due diligence.

    DESCRIPTION

    Our team is comprised of investment managers and analysts who report to the Chief Investment Officer. The Analyst will:

    • Work closely with external investment managers to monitor the private loan portfolio; assess portfolio credit quality, risk areas, and underperforming credits; analyze portfolio performance versus expectations and applicable benchmarks; ensure compliance with investment guidelines
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of the private credit portfolio, identifying trends, potential risks, and opportunities for future growth
    • Prepare and provide written and verbal reports on the status and performance of the private credit portfolio; regularly communicate, both formally and informally, with Chief Investment Officer, Investment Team, Investment Committee, and others
    • Source and research new investment opportunities within private credit, including complementary asset classes, new geographies, and prospective new managers and funds
    • Perform due diligence for new manager candidates, including detailed evaluation of credit underwriting, risk management, track record, investment team, etc.
    • Screen, analyze, and help manage direct investment opportunities from external investment managers and other deal sources; conduct comprehensive credit analysis, including qualitative assessment and detailed financial modeling
    • Collaborate with and support other members of the investment team, as well as other functional teams across the firm

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2-5 years of investment-related experience which may include i) direct lending (sourcing, underwriting, and managing private loans), ii) alternative investments, including screening, due diligence, and monitoring of alternative funds and asset managers, or iii) consulting, research, investment banking or similar roles focused on alternative investments or private credit
    • Bachelors' degree with strong academic credentials; MBA and/or CFA designation is a plus
    • Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and credit analysis
    • Detailed financial modeling skills, including company/credit forecasting and analysis
    • Strong analytical and fundamental research skills, both qualitative and quantitative
    • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail
    • Highly motivated and confident self-starter with ability to work independently
    • Track record of working collaboratively and exceeding expectations in a team environment
    • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software

    COMPENSATION

    • Base range of $100-150k, commensurate with experience
    • Discretionary annual bonus
