    The Sr.

    Director, Supply Chain Strategy is a high-caliber leadership role designed for a strategic thinker with the capability to execute effectively on operational strategies.

    This executive will lead the sourcing and planning function with a focus on developing robust supplier relationships, implementing comprehensive supplier scorecards, managing on-time delivery metrics, and spearheading new product launches with a keen eye on supply chain optimization.

    This role extends to overseeing demand and supply planning and crafting inventory strategies to enhance return on invested capital while ensuring the supply chain's alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

    ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing Management:


    Craft and execute a forward-looking global sourcing strategy that supports the company's growth and innovation agendas, emphasizing cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply base optimization.

    Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities within the supply chain to ensure the company remains competitive and agile in its sourcing approach.

    Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities, including diversification of the supply base, strategic stockpiling, and alternative sourcing strategies.


    Supplier Relationship Excellence:


    Lead the development of a supplier engagement strategy that focuses on building long-term, strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure continuity, innovation, and competitive advantage.

    Institute rigorous supplier evaluation and selection criteria based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability practices, ensuring alignment with the companys values and standards.

    Implement a continuous improvement program for suppliers, involving regular reviews, performance feedback, and collaborative initiatives to drive enhancements in quality, efficiency, and sustainability.


    Performance Metrics and Scorecards:


    Design and implement a comprehensive supplier performance management system, including scorecards and KPIs, to evaluate and monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics and standards.

    Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to analyze supplier performance data, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.

    Foster a culture of accountability and transparency with suppliers by sharing performance outcomes and collaborating on performance improvement plans.

    Product Launch and Supply Chain Integration:

    Work closely with product development and marketing teams to integrate supply chain considerations early in the product design and development phases, ensuring that sourcing strategies support product innovation and market competitiveness.

    Lead cross-functional teams to manage the supply chain aspects of new product launches, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components that meet quality and cost objectives.

    Develop and implement strategies for ramping up production with suppliers, including capacity planning, lead time reduction, and inventory management, to support product launch timelines and volume ramp-up.


    Demand and Supply Planning Leadership:


    Oversee the implementation of advanced demand planning and supply chain forecasting tools to improve forecast accuracy, reduce inventory costs, and optimize production planning.

    Lead the development of a robust supply planning process that aligns with business growth forecasts, market demand, and production capabilities, ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained.

    Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align demand forecasts with supply chain capabilities, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to balance supply and demand.


    Financial and Capital Efficiency:


    Drive financial performance within the sourcing function, focusing on cost reduction initiatives, negotiation strategies, and supplier financing arrangements to improve the companyrs cost structure and profitability.

    Evaluate and optimize the sourcing functions impact on the companys return on invested capital, including working capital management, inventory optimization, and total cost of ownership analyses.

    Monitor and report on key financial metrics related to sourcing and supply chain operations, providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership for strategic decision-making.


    Team Leadership and Development:


    Build and lead a high-performing strategic sourcing team, setting clear objectives, promoting professional development, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

    Implement best practices in team management and development, including talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning, to ensure the sourcing function is well-equipped to support the companys strategic goals.

    Champion a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across the sourcing team and broader organization.

    QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

    Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain functions.
    Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    Strong leadership qualities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all organizational levels.
    In-depth knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management practices.
    Proven ability to strategically plan and tactically execute on both strategic and operational levels.

    Preferred QualificationsMasters Degree or MBABase Salary:
    $210,000 to $270,000The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
