JOB DESCRIPTION
The Registered Nurse role involves utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. The RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates the patient's response. It is crucial for the RN to ensure safe patient transitions through the healthcare encounter without complications. Delegation of interventions is done based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act and patient conditions.
RN job mainly focuses on hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with round-the-clock staffing, including areas like GI Lab, Pain Management, Dialysis, and Infusion Centers.
