Position Overview:

In collaboration with a leading insurance services provider in San Diego, CA, we are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our client's highly skilled team. As the sole Cloud Security Engineer, you will spearhead their AWS Cloud Security services efforts, ensuring the utmost protection of critical assets and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of AWS Cloud Security services.
• Utilize advanced technologies including IDS/IPS, Firewalls, SIEM, and malware analysis tools to detect and mitigate intrusions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Networking, or Computer Science related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in security engineering or related roles, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of AWS services such as IAM, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and CloudTrail.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms and endpoint security solutions.
• Certifications such as AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Associate with a Security emphasis, GSEC, CISSP, or Security+ are preferred.
