    Summary

    Provides basic clerical, administrative, and general office support including reception, typing, and record and file maintenance. Provides backup support for the Resource Connection General Office Clerk IV.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Answers telephones and refers to appropriate person or Resource Connection tenant.
    • Greets and directs visitors to appropriate person or Resource Connection tenant.
    • Receives, sorts, and forwards incoming mail and deliveries.
    • Reviews daily reports from security contractor and notes items of interest for review by management.
    • Responds to routine requests for information and refers more complex requests to appropriate staff member.
    • Provides pre and post-event maintenance and setup information to Facilities for room rentals in the 1100 and 2300 Building/Conference Center.
    • Performs all other related duties as required.
    Minimum Requirements


    NOTE:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Some experience with word processing and spreadsheets required. Experience must be reflected on your application.
    • Must recognize the value of team dynamics and exhibit a professional demeanor.
    • Knowledge of personal computers and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
    If hired, you must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.


    Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include financial history reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements


    While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to bend, carry, climb stairs, hear, keyboard, kneel, lift below the waist, lift between waist and shoulder, lift overhead, lift to the side/twist, perform repetitive tasks, sit, stand, talk, use his/her hands, walk, and work with others.
