- The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the IN State Nurse Practice Act.
- It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities.
- Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
- The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.
- Current and valid state RN License (Where applicable).
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate.
- At least 2 yrs experience.
- Experience with surgical patients preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
