- Working with customers to plan empty container pickups and loading schedules
- Arranging bookings with ocean carriers, ensuring optimal routes and schedules for timely delivery.
- Preparing and managing all necessary export documentation, including bills of lading, export declarations, and certificates of origin, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
- Building and maintaining great relationships with customers and vendors, serving as the subject matter expert and escalation contact, responding timely and following up on issue resolution
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution
- Partnering with the sales team to plan for and deliver successful onboarding and implementation of new customers
- Staying up-to-date with changes in export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risk for the company and its clients.
- Providing reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers
- 2-3 years of previous experience in ocean export operations within the freight forwarding industry
- Strong understanding of export regulations
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and deadline-driven environment
- Proven track record of strong customer service skills, interacting with customers and being client focused
- Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
- Working knowledge of CargoWise platform
