    Job Description:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Construction Inspector to support the construction of water, wastewater, and water quality improvement projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the Resident Project Representative and conduct on-site observations during the construction of utility pipelines and water quality improvement projects.
    • Coordinate and communicate with multi-discipline teams, including owners, contractors, regulatory agencies, and third-party inspection/testing firms.
    • Participate in construction project meetings, including preconstruction conferences and progress meetings.
    • Document project progress through daily reports, verifying material quantities, and reviewing payment applications.
    • Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and construction methods typical of civil, structural, and mechanical engineering, as well as ecological restoration.
    • Perform constructability reviews, research and provide timely solutions to engineering and construction issues.
    • Assist the PM in the reviews of change orders and claims.
    • Analyze contractor's Critical Path Method (CPM) progress schedules and provide feedback.

    Qualifications:

    • B.S. or Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, and/or Natural Resource Science, or equivalent field experience in utility construction and/or waterway improvement projects.
    • Familiarity with construction materials testing, ecological restoration, and civil engineering methods.
    • Ability to safely navigate active construction sites.
    • Willingness to travel locally to project sites as needed.
