    Description


    SUMMARY Under the direction of the radiologist, the MRI technologist performs total body imaging for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in various body planes, producing quality images for diagnostic interpretation.

    The MRI technologist effectively utilizes all imaging capabilities of the MRI scanner. The technologist is responsible for maintaining the optimal level of patient care. In addition, the MRI technologist will assist in the optimization of patient flow and study throughout.

    Required Experience


    Applicants may be:
    a. Enrolled in an approved ARRT institution with an accredited MRI program
    b. Recent graduate from an approved ARRT institution with an accredited MRI program, and eligible for ARRT-CT certification via the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
    c. An experienced Registered Technologist who's eligible for ARRT-CT certification via the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

    Required Skills/Cert/Licenses
    RRT-MRI certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MRI) no more than 6 months post-hire (if applicable).

    Must remain a member, in good standing, of the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) by maintaining appropriate CE credits and annual renewal of license(s).

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
