Southeast Texas HR is in search of a skilled and committed Grill Cook to join our client's team in the Hospital & Health Care sector. As a Grill Cook, you will be in charge of preparing and cooking various food items on the grill, ensuring top-notch quality and hygiene standards. Our client, a prominent healthcare facility, is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and their loved ones. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and excel in a fast-paced setting. Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts is a must. This opportunity may transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. Compensation will be $15.32+ per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of grill food items, such as burgers, chicken, and fish.
  
• Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes accurately.
  
• Ensure all cooked food meets proper temperature and quality requirements.
  
• Set up and maintain cleanliness in the grill station and work area.
  
• Handle preparation of grill ingredients, including vegetable chopping and meat marination.
  
• Contribute to menu planning and development.
  
• Oversee food inventory levels and alert the Kitchen Manager of any shortages.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Grill Cook in a healthcare or similar setting.
  
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation protocols.
  
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Capacity to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  
• Ability to provide immunization records upon request.
