    Position Overview:

    As a Tooling Technician, you will be instrumental in constructing, altering, and maintaining our production tools, fixtures, dies, and molds.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Specialize in the construction, alteration, and maintenance of production tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, and thermoformer molds.
    • Repair molds and fixtures using welding techniques and refinishing precision surfaces.
    • Utilize hand tools to perform necessary work on foam fixtures, including weighing scales and measuring devices.
    • Construct and maintain molds and foam fixtures while operating various machine tools and executing highly skilled assembly tasks from tool designs.
    • Troubleshoot die and thermoformer issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Read work orders accurately and respond to requests while documenting performed work.
    • Achieve high luster finishes on machined surfaces using techniques like filing, honing, abrasive compounds, and hand finishing for detailed engraving.
    • Utilize epoxy and plastic materials for the fabrication and repair of foam fixtures.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of four years of relevant experience, along with a high school diploma or equivalent trade school education.
    • Proficient in operating machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
    • Knowledgeable in the mixing, dispensing, and application of foam components and epoxy adhesives.
    • Able to read and interpret assembly drawings for assembling molds, dies, and tools.
    • Must provide personal hand tools and instruments necessary for the job.
